KING, Danny McAskill, Doing It Again!

What is left to say, Danny McAskill is a king on the bike. Really makes you want to just ride, smooth and natural. What a talent.

58:23, ARE YOU KIDDING US, Half Marathon Record

OK first wow this is fast, could end the story here but I think that Sports Scientist covers it just right.

"The big running news of the weekend was that Zersenay Tadese, the Eritrean former World Cross-country champion and multiple world half-marathon champion, delivered on his promise to break the half-marathon world record in Lisbon.

His time, an amazing 58:23, breaks the old mark of Sammy Wanjiru, the undisputed number 1 marathon racer in the world and sets up what should be a great showdown in London in just over a month (assuming Tadese goes ahead and races it, as he has suggested).

The London Marathon will also be a chance for some redemption for Tadese - he made his debut there, to much hype as the next big thing in the marathon, but he failed badly, dropping off the lead group early and failing to finish. There is of course no guarantee that a super-fast half-marathon predicts a great marathon, and if anything, there may be concerns that he's too fast at this stage. With a month to go, Sammy Wanjiru last year ran a mid-61 minute half-marathon and then dominated the Chicago Marathon. So for Tadese to maintain the form he clearly has in Lisbon will be a huge challenge, and one of the fascinating sub-plots of the 25th April race, which promises to be one of the greatest ever. Turns - Learning the Underwater Dolphin - Step 5 - GoSwim!

From Go Swim

Why Do It:
Isolating what makes you move forward in the underwater dolphin makes the entire motion more purposeful.

How to Do It:
1. While you don't have to use a Finis Monofin to attempt this focal point, the larger the fin, the easier it is for you to experience this particular feeling.
2. The goal is simple: Isolate a stable hand and head position as you accelerate down the pool with your larger fins.
3. Try to go as fast as possible as you perform the underwater dolphin, keeping your mind focused on NOT moving your hands up and down at all.
4. Feel the body dolphin movement starting as high in the body as possible (yet still behind the shoulders). Chest, then hips, then thighs, and extending through the feet. The farther back toward the feet the move gets, the larger it gets.

Bontrager: Aero Race Pack (Model #07189)

Another great product to challenge the masses. Aero Race Park helps you cut through the wind while not losing fluids. Splashing fluids can take you out of moment and could ruin your race.
Stay hydrated without getting out of your aerodynamic tuck with Bontrager's Aero Race Pack. Designed to mount quickly, easily, and cleanly between nearly any width of aerobar, the Aero Race Pack features an innovative fill cap that makes it easy to top-off your bottle without getting off the bike. An integrated computer mount and an insulated bottle cover further add to the versatility and convenience of this triathlon must-have.

10 Quick Tips for Using A Triathlon Wetsuit

Let's face it - the task of choosing a triathlon wetsuit can be difficult enough, but once it arrives at your doorstep in all it's rubbery glory, how should you actually begin using it? What are some changes that will be necessary to your swim stroke or pre-swim and post-swim rituals? These 10 quick tips will vastly help you prepare for using your triathlon wetsuit.

10. Don't panic. When you first put on a triathlon wetsuit, especially if it's a new one, you might feel a little claustrophobic and short of breath. Don't worry...that's completely normal. After the first few uses, it will loosen up a little bit. Excessive tightness will also be helped with the tip below.

9. Pull the sleeves and wetsuit legs far enough up your arms and legs. Too many triathletes wear a wetsuit like their sweatshirts or pants - pulled all the way down to the bottom of their wrists and the ankles. To allow for adequate freedom of rotation, pull your triathlon wetsuit about an inch or two higher than you would normal clothing, then pull that extra slack that this creates up into the shoulders and the hips.

8. Shave. Yes, this is for you guys, and maybe some of you ladies too. You'll slide in and out of your triathlon wetsuit much easier if you don't have all that hairy friction holding you back. Not only does this free up time for more swimming during practice and training, but your race transitions will of course be faster as well.
